Ingredients: Pale, Caramel, and Chocolate malt; Sugar; Colour -E150C; Hops.
Launched in 2003.
"Super Bock Stout is a black beer, produced from special malts which give it a distinct flavour and aroma, and a long-lasting creamy head. It differs from the other black beers on the market because it is richer in extract, more full-bodied and with a more complex (almost fruity), not-so-roasted taste and aroma."

Bottle at my hotel in Cascais - April ’12. Pours a mid black colour with a tan brown head that soon departed. Reddish/Brown when held to the light. Not a lot doing on the nose ! A touch of roasted malt and maybe, just maybe some fruit !!! Sweet malty in taste not a lot else. Carbonation OK - easily drinkable and a change from the low grade lagers on offer, but never going to set the world alight. If that were the case this would be a suitable stout to put the fire out!!!

Cloth bag, Hunstanton. Almost pitch with clinging tan suds. Genuine sweet charcoal, burnt malt, slightly curranty aroma. Milky coffee, chocolate, a chew of dark fruits. The most rounded and serious Iberian interpretation of a dark beer I’ve tasted. If it was a roasty smooth chocolatey English mild I’d give it at least 3.5, so that’s exactly what it’s getting. Against all expectations, a really tasty, well-conditioned beer.

330 ml bottle. From bierzwerg.de.
Black colour with some red hue and small tan head. Mild roasted malt, coffee and slightly artificial sugary sweetness in aroma. Flavour is mild sugary sweet with some fruitiness and mild hoppiness.

Bottle (330ml). Courtesy of ImperialJohn. Thick oily-looking black pour, large fluffy lasting tan head, nice drapes of thin lace. Light aroma, but deep roasted malt, very lactic and sweet. Incredibly thin taste, sweet and syrupy, definite metal and a wan finish - light body, still, sweet and slick, quick-finishing and quite a let-down.

KyotoLefty (5913) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 16, 2010
Opaque black with a tall, bubbly tan head. Looks nice enough. Sweet milk chocolate and caramel aroma, a bit corny, though not bad. Sweet, milky, chocolate flavor. There is a touch of strangeness in there, something artificial, but overall it isn’t bad. A bit too sweet, for sure. Nicely rich body as well. Much better than their light beer.

Bottle at a Portugese restaurant in Brussels. Very dark, almost black. Sweet, milk, caramel, toffee. Not much of a body. They should work more on this!

Scopey (5553) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 22, 2013
Bottle in Lisboa. It pours deep ruby with a thick beige head. The nose is soft roast, coffee grinds, toast and cocoa. The taste is watery, earth, toast, roasted malt, cocoa and coffee grinds with a dry finish. Light+ body and average carbonation. Rather thin and no great depth to it. So-so.
