Can, 500 ml. Pale golden, medium white head. Boring malt aroma, somewhat grainy, no hops to speak of. Quite ok mouthfeel, perhaps due to the relatively high abv. The latter is slightly present in tha flavour, not in a positive way, along with some sweetness and a faint bitterness.

50cl "XL" bottle in Ponta Delgarda, Azores. Straw in colour with a trace of white head; fairly basic lager - malty flavour with a slight bitterness. I preferred Sagres.

kopestes (164) - Braine l’Alleud, BELGIUM - FEB 22, 2007
0.33l bottle in one small village near Lisbon. Pale yellow color with white head. Aroma and taste are sweet and hoppy. More hops than sweetness. After drinking “Cerveja Super Bock Abadia” I was a bit disappointed. Standard lager with nothing special in it, but I drank worse.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2007 0.33L bottle, Cambridge UK. Best before June 2007 date on bottle. Average color, palate, and head. Sweet start and dry finish. Factory world-brew flavor; nothing special. No different with food.

DruncanVeasey (7316) - NUNEATON, CONF N, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2007
Bottled. Surprisingly hoppy, bunny hutch and barnyard-scented snout. An odd combination of distant hops and sugariness. Sweet but not boring. Possibly a fine patio sipper.

Smells a bit of corn, a slight bit of hop. Gold color with a disappearing white head that laced a tiny bit. Starts with good mouthfeel, which improves with swishing. The beginning is a combination of sweetness and hop, and fortunately the hop prevails. A much more palatable combination than Sagres. Don’t know why Sagres rates better. This is sort of Sagres with a better hop balance.

Grassy strong hops to the nose for an overall skunky aroma. The dominant characteristic of this beer would be its wateriness, which in turn contributes to its lack of head and/or lacing. Color of body is golden yellow with much effervescence. The flavor was actually pretty good but nothing really stood out: Malt barley, hops, brown sugar and the aftertaste reminded me of whole wheat toast. Again, the palate was very thin, as this beer is as watery as it gets. Good stuff, nothing special and not worth the price.

Bottle. Yellow colour with short head. Aroma of hops, some sweetness and alcohol. Flavour is bit sweet and malty, thin mouthfeel, waterish aftertaste.

Poured a bright yellow amber with white head. Skunky hoppy aroma was present as soon as poured. Sour bitter grassy harvest taste that finished dry on the tongue.

Bright yellow color, with an of-white head, mild pale malt nose, with a fresh cut hay, hint of floral hops grassiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp pale malt, faint hops accent, hint of spicy vanilla, leading towards a subtle dry bitterness finish.
