Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine.
Don’t let this brew fool you. It’s not super and it’s not a bock either. The only thing it’s good for is that Portugal tick. The guy at Total Wine recommended this to my brother as they just got it in. Somebody needs to pistol whip that guy. Enough bitching, here we go. It pours a pale gold with foamy white head that is there then gone before you can blink. The nose is light with a bit of grain and not much else. The flavor is very light, bordering on watery, but thankfully isn’t very offensive. You get a little cereal and some bitterness to go with your club soda, but that’s about it. Light and watery on the palate with average carbonation and a short finish. This one loses points for not having much flavor at all, but gains points for not tasting like complete crap.

I tried this beer on June 15, 2010 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent medium gold colour with high effervescence and a very thin white head. The aroma was grainy malt, some floral hops, and acidic tones. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was grainy malt, some yeast, and a bitter finish. Not a beer I would buy again.

Not sure about the misleading "bock" name. This is deep gold lager with large bubbles. First comes at you with some aggressive skunkiness and carbonation before subsiding into a loosely composed (poorly attenuated?) beer. Not the worst of the bland replicas of german lagers, but far from anything noteworthy.

A clear yellow/orange colored beer, with a white head. The aroma of malts and fruits like citus and orange. The taste is fruity, sweet a little bitter. The aftertaste is mostly sweet.

On tap in Paris. A yellow and a bit cloudy beer. Aroma is malty and sweet, not bad, body is medium, finish is malty too. So this beer is quite acceptable.

Potrebbe essere qualsiasi pale lager da supermercato (tranne la celebre moneta che ride, cche è più leggera).

(Old BA rate - bottle) Pours a clear fizzy yellow gold; with a half-finger white frothy head. Mild skunky import aroma; adjunct sweetness; some hop bitterness toward the end. Basic adjunct lager flavors overall; a little maltier than most in the style; some drying hops toward the end....meh. Thinner to medium; actually a bit heavier for the style; vibrant carbonation. Not good, not too bad when used to wash down some Portuguese food.

"Super Bock"!! Pours a clear straw yellow with a big white foamy head. Aroma smells as if a skunk just sprayed me. Very potent. Taste is terrible, well, if I was in Portugal on vacation, sitting on the beach looking at the scenery walking past, I wouldn’t mind getting wrecked on this. But sitting on my back porch I’m not cool with this.
