From bottle. One of the worst lagers I have ever tasted. Horrible all the way through

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This poured a foamy white head, two fingers thick. over a body of clear light gold. A nice aroma of hops and malt greeted my nose. The taste I found to be rather good, quite good for an Iberian lager, with a good blend of hop and malt. Mouthfeel was proper and it finished well. Portugal - who knew they could do a decent beer as well as vino?

Head is a little thin and dissipates just a little slower than pop. Smooth taste of malts, malts, more malts. Goes down easy, but a little syrupy.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle: Grainy, corny nose. Golden color, foamy white head. Flavor is light sweet, corny, light bodied with hints of grassy hops. Quite tasteless, but not really bad.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 ounce bottle from River City Cellars in Richmond, VA. Best before 07.2009. Glucose syrup? That usually results in a drain pour for me... we shall see. Pours a dark straw yellow color with a medium head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet grainy malts, grassy hops and light skunk. Something kind of meaty and weird in there also. This beer is nearly tasteless.... a few sips yielded notes of grassy hops, toasted malts and corn. Thin bodied. Not nearly as bad as I expected, but still pretty bad.

I hold very little hope for any beer that calls itself super plus I’ve all ready drank four out of the six I bought so I know this beer is crap, but I saved this last one for a review. The beer had allot of head that quickly vanished and was light apple juice in color, slightly skunky and kinda sour smelling to. This beer just doesn’t taste right, kinda chemically more like apple juice when it gets warm. It’s very sweet but no wonder they list glucose syrup in they’re ingredient list before hops. Just don’t like this beer, but it can be drank if need be.

Small head poured that doesn’t last. Beer is a light yellow gold but looks very unappealing somehow. Thanks for listing the ingredients..why isn’t Corn syrup and skunk listed? Came out with a heavy malt aroma that quickly went south leaving only a faint malt aroma. Sweet unsavoury flavour saved by the malt. Tons of carbonation on the swish. Waste of money.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a pale yellow with a thin white head. Smells strong of grains. Bitter lager taste. Enough hops to make you think it is beer. Pretty standard overall though. Drinkable.

meh. Had a bottle at a portuguese restuarant. It’s basically your standard lager, nothing stands out at all. I guess i’d have it again if i was at a bbq just because it tastes like nothing, nothing to see here

A brilliant casual beer, you wont find anything better than super bock when it comes to a comercialised beer!
Beats off the likes of fellow Portuguese Cerveja, Sagres!
