330 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget). Pale golden colour with fluffy white head that doesnít last very long, some lacing. Grassy sweet aroma with notes of maize/corn and molasses, hints of vomit. Bland flavour, typical industrial adjunct lager, some maize sweetness, low bitterness. I think even Sagres tasted fresher than this one. Not a beer Iíll buy again. If I go to Portugal Iíll probably stick to vinho verde.

This confuses me, cuz irís not a bock. Itís kina like a Mexican lager withouth the "Old Cigar" taste in corona and the like, probably due to clean water instead of the tolilet water in mexico. Pours like gingerale, ie: white whispy head, golden color, medium high carbonation, bla bla bla. Aroma is grasy with a mild malt overtone, flavour is bland malt, corn, minute rice, nice punch of {unfourtonetly} understrong hop, under tones smokey, cut grass, and some golden wheat. Mouthfeel is overly "Bubbly" as in artifical carbonation in a sliky flat body. All this with a skunky hop aftertaste. Very dry finish, Iíll give them that. What a waste of shelf space. Iím told that they make a AMASING stout, but Iíve yet to see it all the way up here. Cheers

"Rock the Bock" Pale yellow with a great head that faded slowly. Strong hoppy scent. Dry tasting, fairly generic. Disapointing. Goes down easy and has a slightly appealing aftertaste.

Light golden body with a compact white head. Dry grainy malt aroma. Flavour is initially a bit sickly sweet, from corn maybe, then later in the drink the grain flavours come to the front and make it a bit more drinkable. Some people would like this beer but I am not one of them.

ALLOVATE (2382) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 6, 2005
Tasted from the bottle into a pilsner glass. Pours a bright light gold with a lot of very fine carbonation raising a decent sized fluffy white head, that lasted the distance and produced some legs. Grainy, chaff nose with a little lemon and honey. Very dry and grainy in the mouth, light bodied and a little soapy across the tongue. Light in flavour, malt driven with no noticeable hops to speak of, quite clean and finishes off crisp and short. Nothing offensive in it, just a plain and very ordinary lager. Undemanding.

Light color with a fluffy head. The nose had hints of apple and hops. I didnít find the flavor strong at all...let alone super:) There were definite bitter tones but the sweeter malts were more ubiquitous. A very drinkable beer with almost no aftertaste.

Poured golden yellow with small fluffy head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma has a fruit smell and a slight fruity taste. Reminded me of a cider

typical lager looks, maybe a little bit darker then the avarege, predictable aroma of faint malt, fluffy head though .... drinkable

Canned. Golden colour, foamy white head, Weak sweet malty aroma. Sweet malty flavour with weak toffeeish hints. Smooth one but a bit watery. Not much aftertaste. Once the beer gets warmer alcohol starts to show in flavour.

Bottle. Light gold with a small white head. Hit with skunkiness right off the bat, while pouring this into the glass. Nose is surprisingly better upon closer inspection. Light grassiness, thinned sweet malts, light bready notes and light alcohol. Taste is kind of weak. Sweet malts, some corny notes, grassy hops and hints of bread dough. Body is medium with a high carbonation feel to it. Finish is bittersweet malts, hay, light alcohol, bread dough and some corny notes. Ehhhh...
