This beer clearly isn’t very good. The Portugese can’t cook - their food is rubbish. They can’t make wine - I hate rose. They may be good at football - though they do like a div, but this does not make this beer good. I drank it when in Lisbon and, as they say, when in Lisbon... Anyway, it’s pretty strong, but has a horrible sickly, syrupy taste. In short, shit!

I know it’s cool to hate Spanish and Portuguese beers, and usually I do. This got so many extra style points for its appearance, though. Maybe the best looking lager I’ve ever seen. Crystal clear, golden, with a huge foamy head that left good lacing. More surprisingly, its carbonation released a small stream of bubbles forever, like a great champagne. Otherwise nothing great. Sweet malts, floral hops. Thin.

Bottle: Rusty and very flat. Tastes like rotten water, stale, thin and aweful.

Bouteille.

Bottle. Pours very pale yellow with a thin film-like white head. Aroma has hay and some lemons. Okay mouthfeel. Sweet at first, then citric bitter - reminds me of a boring Danish Pilsener.

Bottle. Clear medium yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, grain / straw, bread light, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a short to average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic.

Bottled. Uh, okay, what’s so damn super about it? Or even...bock about it? Soft, cereal/corny, a bit sweet off the top and some fusel. Not terrible, but completely pointless and inferior to most lagers. Had it at some bitch-ass Portuguese restaurant where they’re obligated to cater to wistful immigrants who have chain-smoked the taste out of their system. Pass...

Can, 500 ml. Pale golden, medium white head. Boring malt aroma, somewhat grainy, no hops to speak of. Quite ok mouthfeel, perhaps due to the relatively high abv. The latter is slightly present in tha flavour, not in a positive way, along with some sweetness and a faint bitterness.
