Aroma is lots of skunk and grain like a cheap pils. Keeps some head and has lively carbonation. Taste is all corn syrup. Thin body, easy to drink. Considered a cheap beer at home, it makes no pretense of being a ’premium’ brew here either, price-wise that is.

Bottle. A- Corn, sweet, malty, hay, cereal. A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Corn, slightly sweet, malty, grassy, cereal. P- Light body, average texture, high carbonation, crisp finish. O- Like every other pale lager but it did seem a little more full bodied, as if that’s possible. Wouldn’t recommend it for much.

Surprised I found this in West Bank Palestine, bought it not because it's any good but because I was feeling nostalgic about my past trip to Portugal. A bland pale lager, more pale malt than grainy taste, but not much flavor or aroma overall. Somewhat watery and fizzy, tastes more like a light beer than a full lager. I think I remember Sagres pale lager being better than this one, but only relatively so.

The best of commercial portuguese lagers in my opinion. But it’s still a typical lager with nothing special in it. Quite boring.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains and sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a little sweetness.

Bottle on vacation - pale gold/yellow colour with white head. typical pale lager - minimal aroma or taste. Quenches the thirst admirably.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2014 Review: Can of SuperBock Pale Lager 5.2%ABV SuperBock, the football special. I can see why it is popular on the terraces, as it looks damn good, is relatively strong and goes down well. Its also quite cheap, which always appeals. Its a player alright. This beer pours a crystal clear golden colour with a huge white head on top, which was very frothy. It is quick to settle, with little lacing. The aroma is faint and gentle, some grains, malts and some light hints of grassy hops. Not a bad taste, a mildly sweet refreshing lager that hits the throat lovely and there is a nice bitter and sour aftertaste that lingers for a short while. It’s a very easy beer to drink.

Blonde pâle assez limpide. Assez forte carbonation, mousse blanche persistante. Nez un peu malté, goût également malté et maïs. Très faible amertume, presque pas perceptible. Dommage. Bière peu intéressante.

A 50 cl can from BCL stores. A pale amber in color with a faintly sweet nose. Taste-wise, forget about hop and malt. the brew is sickly-sweet corn all the way. This beer would make Bud Light taste good by comparison, and that’s saying something. If I were suffering from severe dehydration I could drink this, but I’m not, so it’s going down the sink. 1.
