4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 fiulijn (12360) - Malmö, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2013
Courtesy of Teddybeer; batch 287, bb 11/15 Dark brown color with small frothy head. Nice aroma of roasted malt and chocolate, sweet apparently. Full bodied, with an excellent flavor of dark chocolate, and a touch of roasted malt and tobacco and liquorice; also the hop presence is in the background but of good quality, with a pleasant blend of resins, and strong bitterness. Close to De Molen; excellent.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Papsoe (25129) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 22, 2013
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Lowenbrau. pours thick and syrupy with only a thin beige film of a head. Molasses, overripe dark fruit and syrup in the nose. Rich, thick body with a low carbonation. Chocolate, subtle roast but more figgy and plummy really. A whiff of peaty smoke perhaps? Very little hop character. More British than American in style I’d say - but very enjoyable. The booze kicks in late. 220413

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 CamdenD (980) - Madrid, SPAIN - APR 17, 2013
UPDATED: APR 19, 2013 "Standard" imperial stout. Aroma is interesting with a bit of alcohol and fig. Taste is, well, stout-like, though on the sweet side. This drinks a bit like a double sweet stout than anything else. Hop profile comes at the aftertaste. Well-made but ignore the 4+ ratings from those with only 3 ratings previously. Find and drink.
