Sampled from a 0.33l bottle, courtesy of Sinfonk. Thanks man. This is a deep dark brown one, near black a low slowly sidesticking brown head. Smells really nice. Lots of thick chocolaty darkness, it’s coffee rich and it also had a good amount of vanilla. Really inviting nose. Thick almost sticky texture in the mouth and it’s just below average and prickling on the bubbles. Chocolate, the blackest of kind, coffee and hay. Marshmallows sweetness, not cloying though. A nice way to start 2016. 01.01.2016

Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, vanilla, wood, chocolate, roasted malts and molasses.

Opaque dark brown beer with heavy yeast and a slight/medium brown/dark brown head.

Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, vanilla, wood and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and molasses.

This beer is intense, complex and balanced. A lot of yeast give this beer a lot of sweet vanilla and wood. This sweetness is perfectly balanced by the molasses flavour. God the flavour is so good, very similar to the Hel en Verdoemenis from De Molen.

dark brown colour, half inch dense, though not too stable beige head; aroma of coffee, herbal notes, chocolate and soy sauce; taste of roasted bitterness with liqueur notes, some syrupy sweetness, spicy alcohol and soy sauce again; not the best imperial stout I’ve ever tasted, but an enjoyable one

pours black oily color, clear, with big creamy light bown stable head. Aroma: intense roasted malt aroma, supported with black, especially chocolate malt, with notes of cocoa powder, chocolate, mokka coffe, vanilla and hint of dark fruits. Flavor is very similar: prevails chocolate malt, with notes of bittersweet chocolate, mokka coffee, cocoa powder, then steps forward notes of roasted malts, with just hint of peat and of hop flavors, which takes on dark fruits. Finish is slightly dry, bitter, sticky. Body is full, texture soft, carbonation is low. Surprise!

Drank with Bram after watching House of Cards (at 3 am or so) 27-5-2016.Very rich beer. How I remember it, this one is better than the tequila BA. Lots of taste, just keeps evolving. Mainly coffee and chocolate. Good.
