2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Pours a clear, pale golden body with a white head. Fruity, butterscotch nose with some maltyness. Fruity and butterscotch flavor too, but at least there’s a decent bitterness. Nice co2 level, but a bit thin in the mouth. Butterscotch, grains, fruits and a vague bitterness in the finish. Drinkable and boring. (080229)

Wee, "thanks" Unclemattie for bringing this to the kp tasting: Straw hue, fizzy head and spotty lace... yep the best part of this beer is the appearance... then you get a bountiful amount of corn and wet musty grains on the nose along with band-aids and a hint of freshly mown grass. Then we have the artificial and medicinal flavors. Assisted by a watery and fizzy mouth feel this god awful beer should be avoided unless free. At least Colombia harvest some good coffee...

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Appearance: Pours a clear, bright yellow body with a tiny, white head.
Smell: Sweet-smelling corn aroma riddling with skunkiness smelling of unwashed swim suits. Bleh.
Taste: Sweaty, sweet pale malts and corn with a gulp of drainage basin water. Ugh. Quick hint of flowers. There’s a skunkiness here that would give even Heineken a run for its money.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A beer that elicits feelings of surprise, worry, and disappointment.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2008 330ml Twist-off bottle . Pours clear, pale yellow with white fizzy head. Do you remember the first time you had tried Heineken? Well it seems they wanted to clone the recipe and put it in their own bottles, but failed. Aroma of corn, vegetables, and skunk. Flavor is of corn syrup and water. Finishes with a bitterness of a vile of hop essence oil. Sorry Aguila, you have failed. But at least Colombia’s women are beautiful. 25FEB08

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Ratewhoring for Colombia. Clear yellow with a small white head. Sweet lemon and faint gasoline nose with notes of tinny corn becoming more noticeable at a temperature somewhere above “really cold”. Tinny, thin, metallic lemon, corn and grain flavor. It’s a bad beer for sure, but it’s not disgusting.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
12oz bottle, courtesy of mj. Thanks, Mike! Pale straw color; patchy white head. A light bit of sugar and citrus in the aroma. Light, sugary mouthfeel: not watery; decent feel in the mouth, but almost nothing here; like the aroma, nothing offensive here; maybe even a hint of hops. Quick finish.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A pale yellow lager with a thin white head. A light mineral aroma with light corn notes. In mouth, a decent South American lager, with a nice little hoppy attack, some sweet corn, but not overbearing. Dáme un´agriá, su merced!

San Andreas, Columbia. Their crap beer as I was told by the Columbians, but was also told that Club Colombia was their ’good’ beer. Worse then Corona. Pale, bland, skunky it would be a big sell here in the states.
