Is “Aguila” Spanish for “boring”??
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 cyrenaica (745) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 23, 2010
330ml bottle
4.0% ABV
I tried this beer on September 14, 2010 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent gold with orange hues, and almost no head, despite a vigourous pour. The aroma was grainy malt, some slight sweetness, with some floral hops. The mouthfeel was thin bodied, medium carbonation, and slightly acidic. The flavour saw grainy malt, acid, and weak bitter finish.

Bottle - 330ml. Boring pale blond body with very thin white foamy head. Aroma is almost non-existent. It carries light corny, malty, and skunky hints. Light hoppy taste with herbal notes and a short metallic finish. This is like drinking bad carbonated water.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jimmay (705) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 18, 2010
330 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours very pale, just slightly darker than water, golden, small white head. NOt much aroma, corny, faintly malty taste. Not horrible.

330ml bottle from the LCBO. almost completely flavourless. not over carbonated adds a few points. a beer from columbia makes it worth ticking. slightly adjunty, non-offensive pale lager.

Pale straw colored pour, big white head. Aroma of super cheapo grains, lots of corn, and a cooked vegetables. The flavor on the other id just like water! There is ZERO flavor!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JesseM (918) - Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 1, 2010
355mL bottle from the Likbow. Thanks Likbow. Pours a fizzy yellow with a small white head. Fantastic. Smells like your standard cereal grains of the distinctive Columbian variety. Interesting. Flavour is sweet from pale malts and (probably) adjuncts, of the non-cocaine variety. Reminds me of apple juice. Nice peppery finish that I tend to appreciate in my pale lagers from countries that have a tendency to ignore human rights. Hits the spot really well on an inexpicably hot summer night. I actually kind of like this stuff, I’m glad Columbia has a new substance to export.... *the above rating was not intended to offend anyone of Columbian descent, you have a wonderful country and I just like to indulge in topical humour of the ridiculous variety*
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Metalchopz (1173) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 31, 2010
First beer from Colombia for me. Thanks LCBO ! Ha, ha... twist-off cap. Pours a light golden colour with a small white head that creates a thin coat of lacing. Tiny bubble carbonated and smells like a light pilsner. Decent taste of grain, hop and mild honey in the aftertaste. Nothing offensive here and does what it is intended in doing. Refresh Colombians in their warm environment. Maybe even a bit better than most Mexican swills.
