The number 1 selling beer in the country – Aguila is Colombia. With an authentic taste that’s distinctly Colombian, you’ll always find Aguila at events and festivals. Our beer defines the Colombian way of life. The perfect beer to share and celebrate any occasion, our lager is a crisp, clear pilsner with a mild taste.

33 cl bottle with twist off cap, from Systembolaget Avenyn, Göteborg.
BB 16JUN13, sampled on November 12, 2012.
Marked 4.0% ABV.
Clear straw yellow color, small white head that dissipates fast. Vegetable, corn, DMS, some malt, a bit sweet, hints of cardboard scent, some somewhat buttery. Grainy smell too, and sugary. Mineral, grainy, corn, sweet, bland taste. Grainy and sweet aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.
It comes across to me as balnd, boring and fairly pointless to fly halfway around the world when such boring examples are plenty from our domestic macro beer producers.

330ml bottle at Cronulla RSL (?!?!). Slight sour nose. Pale amber, medium carbonation with thin lasting head. Sweet malt taste. No bitterness at all, zero hops. Clean finish with slight vegetal aftertaste. Possibly the sweetest lager I have ever tasted.

A touch of a bready note in the aroma. No head. Crystal clear, the color of a light cider. Super light flavor. Not much bitterness or hop character. Super clean. It's like a seltzer water version of a beer.

Flaska från SB. Klar gyllengul med vit luftig skumkrona. Doft av ljus malt. Mkt blaskig smak. Saknar nästan helt beska. Lätt metalisk smak. Som att dricka dåligt vatten.

If the taste of this beer is indeed ’distinctively Colombian’ that is a sad country indeed. Thin, bland, watery, there’s just nothing in this lager that would make anyone want to drink this. But the label is nice.

Pours a pale yellow color with white head. Cereal grains and sweet malts on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes fairly clean.

Bottle from SB. Not very different from other pale lagers, but I can imagine it tastes goid in the sun.

bottle from new country, kindly delivered by pivnizub! Golden yellow, fluffy white head and a grassy hoppy nose. Light-bodied, malty with some pleasant grassy hop flavours in the far distcance. Very mild.
