COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With spicy orange and caramel highlights. Aromas singular olives in brine, salty touches, pine and honey. Silky palate where its fruity flavor and moderate bitterness melt. Medium finish without astringency, moderate carbonation, which gives a dry feeling tense.

Well I’ve hit a bit of a jackpot here by staying at the Marriot. There is a hipermercado next door with an extremely impressive array of what the Chileans call artesanal beers. I am not sure if they are aware of the term unattenuated though. This sits flat and murky in the glass. The sediment is so great it leaves a muddy trail along the bottle as you pour it and it gives the beer an appearance of the local Rio Mapucho in full flow. The flavour is limp and under prepared, very much like a worty homebrew prior to bottling. Not a good start I’m afraid.

Honestly, it tasted just like my first attempt at homebrewing 3 years ago(which was ruined by my son). Too much yeast, too cloudy and low carbonation.

Has a amber clear color, very cloudy. The head is small and diminishes rapidly. Has a sweet aroma, but with a tart and disagreeable fund. The flavor is really bad, under a sweet apparent taste, there is a tart, disgusting flavor. Really i do not know if this beer is infected or is very bad. I must look for another bottle.

Appearance: amber orange color. Not head. Aroma: malty mainly, soft candy, very similar to a macro-brewer lager. Sweet, metallic, fruitiness of orange and pears. floral-herby hops touch. Flavor: candy, pale malty and honey. Fruitiness of red apples, pear and peaches. Sourness and dry-fruity of peel orange. Low hoppy and few persistent. Metallic final. Citric and refreshing. Too much mediocre and neutral. Not advisable.

Hazy orange color, medium white head. Subtle aroma of cereal, dough, bread and hops? However, very infected. Watery flavor, very light, no aftertaste, no carbonation.

Light hazy amber color, crowned with a medium white and fully diminishing head. It leaves a small lacing after some seconds. Aroma is dominated by an always present ominous infection, lambic tart smell with fruits, vegetables, grass, cereal and dough as a low-alcohol beer. Flavor has tart, cheap lambic notes mixed with some sweet touches. Ugh! I can’t find anything good in this. Infected, fungii flavor. Crappy to the extreme. Small body, little carbonation, bad short finish and aftertaste. I tend to be generous with chilean micros but this one sucks!. An abysmal Pale Ale, worse than most CCU beers. I hope it was a problem of this batch only.

Sampled at the "2° Festival de la Cerveza", in Malloco (4th November, 2006)
