Bottle: Clear gold with a small white head that dissipated quickly. Sweet malty aroma with hay and grass notes. For a pale lager it is ok, but not to my taste.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Easy drinking beer. While there’s absolutely nothing that stands out, Imperial doesn’t offend and is fine for a hot day.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
een to Costa Rica 3 times, so this is the beer I mainly drink there. Haven’t been there for about 9 years now, so this is based on old memories....maybe the beer has changed slightly but I doubt it. I was also told that they are/were owned by Heineken, so a lot of bars down there also carried Heiny (for about the same price too), so then I started switching it up with Heiny instead. Reminded me sort of a cross between Corona and Heiny (although I think I like them both slightly better). A bit more pale and not as golden as them. Still, a pretty smooth lager. Good for right after a swim in a salty beach in the Pacific. Noticed that they carry Imperial here at my local beer store, but I don’t know why anyone would buy it here with a ton of microbrews surrounding.
