2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Wasn’t expecting much, just needed to tick Costa Rica off of the list. Typical tropical pale lager, light bodied. Would be refreshing if it were a hot day. Didnt taste bad, clean finish.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz bottle from Wegmans, Buffalo, NY. A standard caribbean lager; straw with a thin white head; moderate carbonation; a corn syrup aroma and taste; and a touch of lime juice and grassy hops to finish. Not bad, but not exciting either.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: APR 28, 2015 Bottle enjoyed in Costa Rica. Corn, grainy aromas. Crisp yet dry, grainy, slight grass, and pils malts in the flavors. Not all that much different than your typical lagers from the States, but very easy drinking and enjoyable during my time in Costa Rica. My favorite of the 3 main beers I saw frequently in Costa Rica - Imperial, Bavaria, and Pilsen.

2.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted this for the first time ~ 1992 during a trip to Costa Rica. It has a nice pale amber color and aroma. It is similar to some American Pilsner beers but with a much smoother taste. There was little or no aftertaste. Very enjoyable. I did some research and found that it was only imported to several states, CA, FL, TX. Just by luck I found it in a local beer distributor in PA around Nov 2012. It tasted that same as I remembered it. Not the best beer I’ve ever had but at the price of ~$25 a case it was worth it.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pale yellow colour, minimal white head; aroma of corn, carsboard sourish notes and some bread; taste of corny-malty sweetness and sourness; not good at all

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Golden body with a white head that had some retention. Aroma was of corn and a generic sweetness, mild notes of wonder bread. Flavor was mostly corn, some sweetness to it and a weird medicine like after taste. Light palate.

Nothing special, but it was kinda refreshing cause it was hot outside when i enjoyed it. Whats the deal with the brown bottle though, i mean every other cerveza goes with the classic clear bottle to add that extra flavor of ass. This brew is trying to cheat or something, but i am not having it.
