Aroma has cardboard and some grainy tones and some grainy tones. Flavour has grainy malt and hints of corn. Quite straightforward but still rather clean pale lager. Refreshing.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2014 Review: Bottle of Imperial Pale Lager, 4.60%ABV
An interesting lager from Costa Rica, Imperial, a very pleasant refreshing light lager.
Appearance was a crystal clear, pale golden straw colour, what a normal looking lager should look like. When pouring a small frothy white appeared that dissipated relatively fast with some lacing remaining.
Sweet aroma of lightly toasted malt with corn. Smell was great, very enticing.
Similar to the smell, there is a slightly bitter grassy flavour of a creamy aftertaste of dry corn sweetness, that leaves a dry feeling in the mouth
Overall, Imperial Beer is a standard, good lager.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
A- Corn, hay, slightly sweet, watery.
A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head.
T- Sweet corn, watery.
P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish.
O- As with any pale lager, there isn’t much to talk about. This one isn’t horrible. Slightly sweet and thankfully not skunky or metallic flavors. I think that in itself is a win.

Pale golden with a low white head.
Weak straw aroma. Sweet.
Taste is sweet straw. Very little hops. Touch of vegetables but not too overpowering. Just out of the fridge it is refreshing. Thin body and soft carbonation. OK.
