COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Costa Ricans have been enjoying this beer since 1924. Imperial is created from a balanced formula combining malts, grains and hops, without a pronounced overtone in its taste. It is what is known as a “centralized” beer. Adapted to a warm and spring-like climate, Imperial is Florida’s most popular and widely accepted beer, both nationally and internationally, and has thus become the favorite beer of Costa Rica.

Appearance: a deep yellow color with a thin head. Aroma: typical aroma of a lager beer. Tastes like corn, medium bitterness and some grains. Not as watery and bad as I expected.

Can: Thanks El: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium sized white head. Clear bright yellow colore beer. Aromas of malts, corn, some herbs. Not much more but this is quite a decent mix of a decent aroma. Flavour is bitter, malty, some hers, some grains, corn, hay, light sweet and some cream with a slight edge of cardboard. Aftertaste is bitter, malty, light fruity and some woody light caramel ish tones. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, low bodied and a creamy texture. Decent.

GIJOE (763) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - OCT 30, 2014
Pours yellow with a thin white head. Nose is typical for a lager. A little on the sweet corn side. Cider notes. Taste is somewhat sweet. Grassy aftertaste. Thin and fizzy. Not bad for a Central American lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An unpleasant skunky aroma, pale straw color without much of a head. A watery feel with a grainy taste. Almost no aftertaste. A drinkable beer without anything memorable about it.

Decent but watery pale lager. Low on aromas and flavors and without detectable bitterness. Fairly clean, ever so slightly astringent, dry finish.

This must not be a very popular beer because I had to create not only the beer, but the brewery on here. It’s basically an American Pale Lager with a Latin twist. It’s really not as bad as you might expect. It has a decent flavor and is a nice change from Budweiser, Miller, and even Corona. First rated July 14th, 2013.

Just another foreign Lager / Pale Lager, but it’s still cool to drink a beer from Costa Rica.
