jjpm74 (3087), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA May 8, 2008 Another exotic location pale lager except this one can be found right here in the US. Pours yellow and fizzy with a white head. Smells of straw, hints of hops, pepper. Tastes of corn, some mild citrus, pepper, spice.
strings (327), Sydney, Australia Sep 22, 2008 Bottle. Surprisingly ok. Pretty clearly a mass produced lager, but some interesting honey sweetness and a bit of malt offset an otherwise fairly watery and predictable affair. Magjayran (1152), Durham, North Carolina, USA Sep 22, 2008 Simply put, this is dull corny cardboard with a sweet finish. Terrible and pointless. At least I’ve rated something from Costa Rica! afireinside96 (494), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 21, 2008 12oz bottle purchased at Bank’s Liquors in Franklin, DE. Served in a shaker glass. Very pale yellow body with a small pile of foam on one side of the liquid. Smells of corn and apples. Sweet dull flat taste, mostly corn. Easy drinking, but then so is water. ChainGangGuy (1602), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Sep 20, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, gold body with a thin, white head.
Smell: Mixture of pale malts and waterlogged corn kernels with some light floral hop hints.
Taste: Weak pale maltiness alongside a sweetish corn flavor. Floral hops imparting a very light bitterness. Grows evermore watery as you race towards the finish. Tiny hint of metal right at the very end.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: You’ve gotta equally water down your expectations for these lackluster, foreign lager, but even still this was a disappointment. ATLBeerDog (194), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 13, 2008 Pours a clear pale with a small almost non existent head. Smells of tons of corn and not much malt. First sip is corn and more corn with a not much hop presence. Very light bodied and typical of beers from Latin America. Pretty bad stuff…hardly worth boiling hot dogs in.
