A beer I drank in Costa Rica, which I poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass. It had a clear gold, small foamy white head with short retention and light cling, with some rising bubbles. The aroma featured grainy and grassy hops, with a touch of yeast. Its taste was somewhat sour and grainy, with some bitterness too; a bit heavier than normal Imperial. The beer’s body was medium-thick, but not much mouthfeel, and it had low to average carbonation. The normal Imperial beer is superior in my opinion.

Bottle: Poured a clear light yellow color lager with a small bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma consists of light corn adjunct taste with no aftertaste. Very bland overall without much characteristics and almost undistinguishable form the other beer form this brewery.

Bottle. Pale yellow. Thin white head. Thin dirty water scent. Beer is watery with hints of coffee and minimal malt. Old water taste.

A lot of phenols, garbage and cereal notes. Nasty aftertaste. Low hops. Even for macroswill this stuff sucks.

12 oz. can purchased in Jaco, Costa Rica. Not much in the way of aroma or flavor. Carbonation plays a large role. Strangely lives up to its name with metallic flavor and mouthfeel. Can’t say it did much either way to expectations, as Costa Rica isn’t known for its beer.

350 mL bottle, purchased in San Jose. Pours a pale yellow color; fluffy white head with decent retention and lacing. Corn, sugar, and slight fruitiness in the aroma; not much here; slightly skunked; cardboard. Light-to-medium mouthfeel: crisp, more carbonation than the Imperial Silver, which was actually alright; here, lots of base graininess, basic citrus / grape fruitiness, and stale malts; underwhelming, but still drinkable when the temp’s at 85+. Basic finish, toasty, stale malts.
