There was enough similarity to Budweiser for me to interpret corn and/or rice. Nasty nasty nasty. I wanted a glass to see the beer and this was not worth the effort.

Yellow color, very little head. Sweet, somewhat malty nose, alcohol notes, candyish, sweet. Very spritzy, alcohol, disgusting bitterness. Ouch, the worst beer I've had from this brewery, that's bad.

The worst Costa Rican beer. I’m Costa Rican, and I drink Bavaria Gold or Bavaria Dark, both of which are vastly superior to Imperial. Imperial is similar to budweiser but not as pissy.

Pale yellow color, not much head. Apple and corn in the aroma. Fizzy and watery. Cardboard and hints of apples in the flavor. After sampling this and Port Royal Export I started to believe that all Honduras beers are brewed from apple wort??

If I ever get my hands on another, I’ll re-rate. This was bought chilled, stored in my camp very warm, flown to Houston in the belly of a 767, unloaded, put on a 737 to Boston, unloaded again (in June), taken home, chilled, then ’consumed.’ It was so skunked that I only managed one sip, which I declined to swallow.

Bottle: Beautiful country Honduras, can’t say the same for their beers and it’s tough to find decent imports. Go for the rum, cigars or coffee.

OK, shameless plug for "Port Royal" here. I lived in Honduras for a while and never liked this beer. It always tasted like someone had added sugar to it. It also has a strong metallic taste to it...
