nice amber show thin head but surprisingly tasty and refreshing after drinking amber lager still stands out

300ml bottle from Lupe Pinto, Glasgow (£1.49):
Light and sweet one the nose with a smell mainly consisting of malts and a few caramel notes There is a roasted malts aroma and a bit of fruit in there too.
Murky brown with a thin, white lacing around the brim for a head.
Light in this department too with a few light fruits and a mix of caramel and roasted malts. There is a bit of toffee and a malty taste with a touch of grain. A pretty basic dark lager really.
Smooth with only a touch of grain on the palate, a bit of fruity sweetness and a crisp finish with fairly strong carbonation.

A very basic dark lager that I wouldn’t quite class as a dunkel as it was too light and plain. Everything was fairly light and unobtrusive making it pretty easy to drink but not particularly enjoyable.

Excelente color oscuro pero con pobre espuma. decente sabor ahumado con notas de maiz y maltas. Paladar seco y alcoholico, sin retención de los sabores primarios.

KeefOz (966) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - MAR 20, 2013
Poured a translucent dark amber with a reddish tint. Virtually no head and no lacing. Low carbonation (ie flat). Aroma faintly of malt and sweet caramel. Taste subtly of roasted grain and even more subtly of malt. Light body. Smooth finish.

Colabrun i färgen, litet vitt skum. Doftar karamell, gräs, citrus, rostat ljust bröd. Smakar lätt söt av rostad malt, gräs karamell. Liten bäska.

Bottled. Off-dry, light to medium bodied, low bitterness. Lightly roasted taste, coffee, cocoa, caramel. Pretty simple, but relatively well balanced. (2009-08-18)

Dobre piwo z Meksyku, ciemne i sredio treściwe. Piana spora i mocno się trzymała podczas picia. Posmak karmelowy, kolor ciemnej herbaty

Mezcalmannen (395) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 3, 2012
Brown colour, head is small but lasting and of a tan colour. Caramel, ripe fruits and a bits malts in the aroma. There’s a fair bit of hops in the flavour, especially the finish is good, but slightly watery. I was surprised by this, I didn’t have high expectations judging from the bottle.

Pours a muddy brown chocolate brown colour with a thin off white head. Aroma is plain, a little cocoa perhaps. Light chocolatey malts and watery almond in the taste.

Bottle. Mahogany pour with a smaller head. Aroma is malt and mild chocolate. Medium palate. Taste is mild bitter chocolate. Better than I was expecting.
