2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2008 Clear bottle. BB 081408. Darkish roast malt aroma. Like a dunkel in a way. Very dark amber/brown color with a non-persisting white head. Thin to medium body with near creamy carbonation. Roasted malt - more than roasted caramel. There is near toasted flavor that lingers on the tongue. It’s more dry than sweet, and there is mild bitter. The special characteristic is that as the liquid flows away that uncommon (for a lager) toasted flavor remains. It’s pretty decent.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Nice rich brown color with yellow head. Also smells rich and sweet. Unfortunatey that’s where the good points end. It’s far too sharp in the mouth and it tastes blandly bitter.

~Smells of sweet malts. Nothing special about the smell. ~ Pours into a dark, brownish, amber colour. Smell head forms than quickly dissappears.~ Taste isnt bad. Just taste like sweet malts. Similar to the smell.~ Palate is hard to tell because I have a sore throat, I can feel the carbonation and the beer feels a little heavy.~ Really not a bad beer, but doesn’t stand out at all. Probably go good with spicy mexican food.
