This beer is no longer in production. It has been substituted by one called Barena. Just wanted to let everyne know this. But if I had to rate this beer, it is similar to a Corona but with a much better taste and not so light.

Bottle: Pours golden and has a white ring of head. Sweet adjunct aroma. Some damp apple esters. The flavor a some sweet malt. This bottle seemed a bit oxidized. Had those strange apple-ish ester that some third-world Pale Lagers give off. Tastes like apple juice. Somehow quaff-able in it’s own way.

The aroma is sweet with syrup, grain husks, and light vinegar. The appearance is hazy gold with a thin head. The flavor is like the aroma with pineapple. The palate is thin. It’s a bad beer but not as bad as I was thinking it would be.

Clear bottle. Pale yellow colour with a short fizzy head. Weak aroma of some malt and grains. Ratherthin malty and grainy sweet flavour. Dull beer, but drinking it cold on a hot humid summer day in the forest some where in Honduras it tasted great.

Not sure how long this one has been sitting in the basement. Clear golden with a thin white head that mostly disappears. Grainy aroma with a hint of hops. Sweet malt flavor with virtually no hop presence. Fairly simple but considering what it it (or was), not too terrible.

Clear bottle with sediment at the bottom. Poured cloudy amber-yellow with almost no head. Aroma of malts and citrus. Flavor very sweet, yet with lots of lemon and an astringent aftertaste. Watery palate. Better than I expected.

Clear bottle made me weary, but it seemed surprisingly fresh, who knows how long this bottle took to make it's way to Chicagoland!!! Nose was faint, ever-so-slightly slightly skunky, with hints of grainy malts. Taste was light but crisp, refreshing but pretty bland. Nothing offensive (I expected a terribly skunky stale experience) and a nice lightly carbonated mouthfeel. Probably a whole bunch better down there in the hot sun than here on an almost 70 degree, rainy Labor Day weekend!

Golden in colour, no head from the bottle. Almost no aroma. A somewhat sweet fairly-tastless lager from Honduras. Try their cigars and forget their beer :-)

Another sweet, fairly flat Central American lager. I, for one, think it’s delicious. I could drink this crap all day!

Smells & tastes like a papermill! Not a good brew. Better than sewer water barelt.
