Eh, well, this wasn’t bad, but it sure wasn’t great. Another decent light high activity summer beer with more flavor than a nasty American macro. However, the flavor was too sweet and, of course, had corn in it. No hop balance and it seemed like sugar was added to it.

I still can’t believe jimmack let us drink this shit. This beer was found notn only in the trunk of a car, but in the trunk of a car in a junk yard!!! Poured a light straw with even lighter watery edges, and a small quickly disipating white head. Aroma was on the sweet side with notes of vegtables, honey, sweet bread, corn and model glue. The flavor is watery with notes of corn, honey and sweetness. Watery body with light carbonation. Overall this beer belongs back in the junkyard.

Bottle at Paul’s tasting. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Smells of old cabbage and stale veggies. Sweet corn flavors, old and boring. Boring yes, but tolerable at least. And the story that went along with where the bottle came from was pretty good.

Thanks to Jimmack for sharing. Bottles found in the truck of a car found in a junkyard that were sitting there for about 4 years! Pours a slight hazed golden with a thinning white soda-like fizz. Aroma is acetaldehyde, oxidized crackery dusty malts, and dms- corn. Flavor is light crackery malts, toast, corn, grass, earth and slight metallic- not as bad as I was expecting actually.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2011 Bottle shared by Jimmack at Paul’s gathering. Pours cloudy yellow with little white algae floating in glass. Nose is pepper, corn and stale water. Taste is mostly water, some white pepper and lots of corn. Mostly unpleasant. What do you expect from a beer that was found in the trunk of a car in a junkyard?

Why do people drink this stuff? Pours like yellow water, smells like corn juice, tastes entirely too much like watered down corn juice. No texture or finish to speak of. Just another forgettable Central/South American pale lager that’s only slightly better than a North American Macro Swill Lager.

I got this beer because it was the only mexican I hadn’t had yet. Typical for a "South of the border" style lager. Not real good except on a hot day on the beach when the beer is ice cold and the surf just went flat. A big bowl of chips and salsa fresca is a must with that dream also.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2008 [bottle - 12 oz] Bought a sixer of this stuff at a store in Salisbury, MD as pretty much a whim beer, and that’s exactly what it was. A novelty bought on a whim and not much else. Pale yellow color with not much of a head. Very sour and stale aroma of sweetness, hops and some grass. The taste was very similar in that it definitely tasted stale with a slightly sour hop and malt finish. Once I put some food with it, it went down easier.

12 oz bottle. Light straw/gold, sliver of lasting white head...decent grassy/hoppy nose, really not bad and even somewhat inviting...body however is flat and boring, nothing like the German pils that the nose indicated, though it’s reasonably refreshing, and the body is fuller than most of these Caribbean lagers.

This one poured a nice straw color with a good head. The aroma has that distinct pilsner scent, showing some hop character but otherwise unimpressive. The taste is sharp with a strong maltiness, a subtler peppery taste follows. The finish is forgettable while overall this is an average beer.
