TURDFERGUSON (1594), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Feb 1, 2009 Can in the San Pedro Sula Airport in Honduras this morning. This was the nastiest of the Honduran pale lagers I tried. The adjuncts did not make it better. What’s worse is its brewed by a German. What an insult to his home country. Also, did Port Brewing copy the font on their label? It looks very, very similar... ironchefscott (341), portland, Oregon, USA Jan 2, 2009 this was gross and sweet malty with no hop flavor..or very low malt flavor for that matter....it is worth passing up..... nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Dec 19, 2008 The aroma is not good but unique for me since its the first beer that has ever smell like personal lubricant. On top of that you have a touch of grass hops but mostly corn like malt. The appearance is pale gold with a nice head that lasts. The flavor is like the aroma, yeah. The palate is thin but ok for the style. Overall its pretty bad and pretty strange. douglas88 (1556), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Oct 21, 2008 Bottle thanks to daknole. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a large white head that goes down a bit. The aroma is not bad; some apricot and sweet malts. The flavor is grassy, some light malts, and a pretty dry finish. Sort of refreshing. The finish is dry like a wheat beer can be. Not bad. rcasta (470), El Salvador Jul 28, 2008 Port Royal es una cerveza Premium y con calidad de exportación. Oh yeah! sloth (1657), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA Mar 9, 2008 Honduras in da house! YEEHAW! Pours a surprisingly nice large white head with good retention and an abundant amount of lace. Clear, seriously pale straw color. nose is sweet and somewhat floral. Body is light with a soft carbonation. Tastes a little corny, light honey suckle notes and maybe, just maybe a touch grassy. Light wet cardboard notes appear as does some appley notes. Lightly sweet finish with some more oxydative notes. Hey, i got the Honduras rate outta my system now right? Thanks to coldbrewky for the bottle! coldbrewky (716), Saugerties, New York, USA Feb 10, 2008 Updated: Feb 18, 2008Bottle and Can: This was my first beer in Honduras and after the trip we had it was welcome! My first thought was ...this tastes like Balantine with a bit more of a malt body. This was one refteshing beer. Again, I must go back to the lattitude/attitude aspect of this fine example of a tropical lager that is MEANT TO BE CONSUMED AT THE PROPER LATTITUDE! No hops whatsoever. Bert....one comin your way.
