355mL thanks to beerandblues2. The pour is a clear straw with a decent white head leaving very nice lace actually. Aroma is heavy sugar cane, big juicy juice box, apple juice. Taste is sweet, mildly bitter, relatively neutral. Much better than expected.

Sweet doughy malt nose. Taste is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, some dough, light sugar and a touch of lemon. Very nice for what it is.

Bottle. Pours light yellow with a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw, grain), light hops (spicy), and average esters (fruity) with notes of corn. Flavor is average malt (hay, straw, grain), light hops (spicy), and average esters (fruity) with notes of corn. Light body and warmth, medium carbonation with a dry finish.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 2/20
Pours a deep, rich gold with an aroma of cheap corn flakes, corn meal, beach grass, and hay. Flavor is uber-starchy malt and corn, baked and fried in wheat flowers. Average mouthfeel. This beer is disgusting.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
I poured a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass...
The beer was a pale straw color with lots of bubbles rising and a thick, white, mattress-like head that grew into a snow cone shape above the rim of my glass and just stayed there. It smells of grassy, lemon hops and adjuncts. The taste is mostly bready malt with some lemon and hay. There some musty flavors and it’s pretty macro-ish. It feels pretty light with some stinging carbonation and the finish is very dry. This beer is ok at best.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Looks pretty pale yellow. White, air-pocketed large head. Smells is that of flour/funk. This is certainly a macro swill-type lager. Not much good flavor, just a bit of body. Very plain. Even a German brewer doesn’t help too much.

My impression of this beer is summed up by this statement: In the beer store I wasn’t paying close enough attention and I thought I was buying a Port Brewing beer. Next time I’ll pay better attention. The other thing I think about this beer is that it’s good to taste the best in class to know what really good beer is, but its also good to taste terrible beer to know what really bad beer is. Tastes like Red Stripe without the Jamaica.

Bouteille et Canette 355 ml. 4.8%. Couleru jaune clair, mousse blanche. Nez de céréales fraiches. En bouche, goute un peu plus que les autres bières du Honduras. Douce. Bonne

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Port Royal has a very thick, creamy head, similar to whipped cream- very unusual, and it leaves behind fluffy and frosty lacing, which when I licked it was thick (again, the cream aspect) and very hop bitter. Carbonation is medium to high. The aroma has an overriding bready aspect, and the taste is a good grain to hop balance, with both being subdued. This beer has a very champagne-like body, not unlike Miller High Life, but lighter. Mouth-feel is light and watery, and Port Royal finishes crisp and refreshing. Overall, this is a very good beer, and I really enjoyed it.
