2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Chapel (445) - Levittown, New York, USA - JUN 20, 2007
Available in cans or bottles, bottle was slightly better. Pours a light golden with a thin head like a standard Pale Lager. Aroma was slightly sweet with a slightly sweeter taste. In general it is not surprising why this is a popular beer in Honduras.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hellbilly (3053) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - MAY 5, 2007
friends came back from vacation with a sixer (cans) for me. it is what it is. nice and skunky. reminds me a lot of an unrefined becks. better than budweiser.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 hopscotch (7527) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 15, 2007
Bottle... AWOL ’07... Hazy, straw-colored lager with a mid-sized, fizzy, white head. Good, tight retention. The nose is all about honey and lime (I think it’s past the point of "skunked" and has converted to lime), which I find more offensive than skunk. There’s a hint of pilsner malt in there too. Yeasty, lightly sweet flavor with honey and some citrusy lemon/lime. Crisp bitterness. Medium-bodied with a lightly oily mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, mostly clean finish.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 oh6gdx (16047) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 7, 2007
Canned (thanks mabjork!). Yellow colour, small white head. Rotten appleish and saltwatery aroma. Flavour is a bit rotten fruits, sour apples and some hops. Watery and not very interesting. New country though...
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 7, 2007
Can (BB 03/2007)
Very pale yellow, not much head. Aroma of apple cider. Green apples dominate the flavor, I wonder where are malts or hops? Apple beer? Thanks to mabjork and his agents for this nice new country.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 faroeviking (8805) - HAITI - JAN 4, 2007
Bottle bought some where in the boonies in Honduras. Pale yellow.. ..what head? Aroma of grains and some hops. Flavour is thin, slightly hoppy, bit sweet. A simple tasting straw beer, best when cooled!
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 9, 2006
A pale lager with a thick collapsing white head. Light sulfur with corn. In mouth, a crisp malt with light hops, thin, refreshing. Thats it.Thanks to Inertiaboy and is contact travelling in Honduras for this. No. 2 of 4 in the Hondurena series.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 NYHarvey (2153) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 2, 2006
Very light aroma that is almost citrusy (lemon-lime) but more solidly vegetal and grainy. Very murky yellow gold in color with a fairly lasting, but bubbly white head. sweet honey and malt fore...no hop presence to speak of. Long sweet malt and honey accented finish. Very low carbonation level. Very simple. Very narrow. Very forgettable.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Saarlander (1665) - Saarlouis/ Rancho Cucamonga,CA, GERMANY - JUL 6, 2006
Typical pale lager, nothing special to this one, but to drink Ice cold on vacation, still abit better than bmc.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 eaglefan538 (2735) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - JUN 11, 2006
Too funny, dry rotten vegetables, says Bov.... Well, I didn’t have the word "dry" in my thoughts, but rotten vegetables is exactly what I thought when I smelled and tasted this one. These odd-ball country beers. They’re so bad. Very nice pillowy and fluffy head (very nice) on top of this crystal clear pale golden macro-looking body. The head and lacing were by far the best of this one. If a nice head and lacing denote a very nicely crafted beer..... someone is lying to you. This one looked fantastic, ESPECIALLY within style. It was worse than Budweiser, though, and I flat out poured this after it crossed the 50F mark in temperature. Too limited a liver for this kind of stuff.
