2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
From my pre-RB days, I drank this in bottles/cans when in Potosi, Bolivia. It was a typical macro-lager that in essence was inoffensive and unmemorable drunk cold in the city of it’s birth (i.e. fresh). Light bodied, deep gold, fizzy carbonation - refreshing on a bright sunny hot Potosi day. Given as an offering to the gods of the Potosi silver mines along with coca leaves...

1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
My Bottom Line:
Rubber soles, erasers and gasoline whiffs waft through this industrial lager’s hay-like cereals.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A thin veil of foam skirts the light straw.
-This is so far from a good Pils, it’s scary.
-This makes Pacena look like a goddamn masterpiece.
-I usually avoid beers that could be awful (or awfully boring) like this. But I admit, once in a while, it’s nice to remind oneself of how low a brewery can go.

0.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
A hazed pale blonde lager with a thin white head. In aroma, light skunked malt with adjunct, light mineral notes, boring. In mouth, horrible formaldehyde with light mineral notes, un drinkable. Can from Uyuni convenience store.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
fruity hops on the nose and not much else, but it does smell appealing. Lots of bleached white head and a very yellow carbonated body. Flavour is weak malts with a hint of lemon. Ricey finish. An adequate lager, probably, sort of, at best.

500ml bottle in a bar in Uyuni. Poured a clear straw yellow with a good sized, though fading, white head. Grain and grassy hops though little else. Light to medium body, medium carbonation and a short length, soft intensity bitterness in the finish.

NIce, easy to swallow, a little graspy but fine aftertaste and nice fatures in golden body too.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Canned 350ml. -Very pale yellow coloured, small airy white head, sour maize nose. Weak in every way you look. Water with weak notes of butterscotch and maize with hint of metal in the finish. Almost tasteless beer.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can, a dirty malt aroma with maybe just a touch of fruit. A light bitter palate with a hoppy flavour, though more malty in the finish with some sweetness.

Now this is the Schaefer shit style "beer" of Bolivia. I had quite a few of these when I lived in Sucre. When I finally when to the highest city in the world to taste this brew at its home base it did not taste different at all........ Can. Weak straw colour with a bubbly very short lasting white head. Sourish unpleasent bit sweetish aroma. The flavour is quite unpleasent: sour bad waterish bit sweet and maltish with a thin mouthfeel. This is a beer very far from its name: pilsener.

Pale gold beer, with a cottony white, fizzly head. Looks are common of most beer in Bolivia, yet taste is remniscent of a true Pils, not just a crap, macro-lager. Refreshingly crisp, and my favorite among Bolivian gold beers. Sampled in the World’s Highest City, Potosi, Bolivia.
