Now this is the Schaefer shit style "beer" of Bolivia. I had quite a few of these when I lived in Sucre. When I finally when to the highest city in the world to taste this brew at its home base it did not taste different at all........ Can. Weak straw colour with a bubbly very short lasting white head. Sourish unpleasent bit sweetish aroma. The flavour is quite unpleasent: sour bad waterish bit sweet and maltish with a thin mouthfeel. This is a beer very far from its name: pilsener.

Canned 350ml. -Very pale yellow coloured, small airy white head, sour maize nose. Weak in every way you look. Water with weak notes of butterscotch and maize with hint of metal in the finish. Almost tasteless beer.

Can, a dirty malt aroma with maybe just a touch of fruit. A light bitter palate with a hoppy flavour, though more malty in the finish with some sweetness.

Pale gold beer, with a cottony white, fizzly head. Looks are common of most beer in Bolivia, yet taste is remniscent of a true Pils, not just a crap, macro-lager. Refreshingly crisp, and my favorite among Bolivian gold beers. Sampled in the World’s Highest City, Potosi, Bolivia.

Sweet and difficult to drink, even in desperation. That said though, I’m sure there’s worse out there. Maybe.
