12oz bottle from trader joes. Nice dark brown leather in the glass. Toasty crust flavor almost like slightly burnt pizza crust but in a good way. Also there is some dried fruit notes, dates & raisins, as it warms up. Clean toasty malt aroma but nothing exciting. Overall, i didn’t have much hope for this but it surprised me... Not bad, not bad at all.

Nice malty aroma and pleasant appearance, but it falls flat after that. taste is watery and bland, very abrupt finish, slightly metallic. Just malt taste, that’s it, was hoping for better.

Bottle. Chocolate and barley malt aroma. Medium brown color with giant tan head. Lightly sweet chocolate malt flavor with hint of hops. Okay - pretty light though.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours ruby/copper with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of caramel malts, a little bit of toffee/nuts, and some light hops. Flavor about the same. Average texture. A decent beer.

Bottle from Liquor Barn Springhurst. Pours dark brown with a thin off-white head. Notes of toasted malt, bready, lightly sweet caramel, light roast undertones. Medium bodied, lightly sweet with soft carbonation. Much better than I was expecting, I’d like to try it again.

Bottle: Dark pellucid brown color with a nice white head. The nose is toasty with nuts and dark malts, crisp and roasty with a light chewy almond quality. Clean and fresh with a light roasty underlayer and a mild body with a refreshing finish. Nice dark lager (vienna?) with a sweet toasty finish.

Just awesome. It was mor elike a schwartz bier mixed with a keller one. These guys made an excellent job with this. Shape, aroma, aftertaste, head, everything.

Bottle. Poured with an airy pile of white foam on top, reddish/brown underneath. The aroma is full-on sugary maltiness. This drinks with the same big sweet toffee character, as if this was 100% malt. (#4056, 1/2/2011)

Clear, dark, reddish/amber. Little to no head and little to no lacing. What head that was present was only the slightest off white. Several bubbles coming up from the bottom. Faint roasted malt with an almost freshly stripped tobacco smell. As the beer warmed, some roasted or toasted grain came through. Roasted and toasted breadiness in the taste. Sort of a roasted malt, but not sweet. Medium to light mouthfeel. Somewhat watery and didn’t leave a lot on the palate. It is smooth and did go down easy. Even and crisp. This beer was just Ok in my opinion. Nothing horrible, but nothing outstanding either. It’s decently drinkable. Better than a macro for sure. I could drink a few.

Tasted from a 12 oz. bottle purchased in Fort Collins, Colorado. Pours a quite dark brown body and a thick cream-black head. Burnt brownish head and a burnt flavor. Decent.
