COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Deep dark red colored with medium sized light brown head. Berry aroma with sweetness, licorice, some grains also here. Medium bodied. Flavor is richer with sweet sourness dominating, berries here too. Aftertaste dries with bitter touch. Well, not too usual brew at least.

Deep brown colour, small head. Sweet nose, I was prepared for a sugar bomb, but no, some caramel with fruity notes and a bitter finish. Surprising beer, will certainly taste it again.

Shared a 25cl bottle from Cora (Luxembourg). Pours an almost clear reddish light brown colour with a small off-white head that turns to a lacing. Aroma is fruity, caramel and lightly hoppy. Average to soft carbonation and medium body. Taste is mix between sweet and bitter but with not much complexity. Overall, a good beer, but with not much personality.

Clear amber with a slightly beige head. A mostly sweet nose (caramel but not excessive) with something else in the mix, hard to tell what’s underneath, maybe some peach-like aroma? The taste is more complex than the nose, balancing sweet fruitiness with a light acidic touch (e.g. Vlaams Oud Bruin but subtly), a bit of iron, some spices but again not overdone. In fact thanks to the iron and the spices, the aftertaste reminds me a bit of a scotch ale, that vegetable like light bitterness. For a beer of such low strength, there’s quite a bit going on, happy to have discovered this!

Brown 25cl bottle, best before 11th Jan 2008, drank July 2007. Poured into a Brugse, Straffe Hendrik chalise glass. Good redish brown, light mahogany colour, a little dull really, the head dissappeared almost straight away. Not a lot of aroma in my bottle, a bit of sweet biscuits but not much else. The taste isn’t any great shakes, a watery, fizzy, malty, sweet and sour fruit mix, which doesn’t float my boat at all. The mouthfeel is very poor, watery and flavourless. This is another beer from Silly I have been unimpressed with.

Bottle, bought @ Willems, Grobbendonk.
Pours deep clear chestnut with a small, creamy, white head. Fine duration. Aroma has caramel, red berries, mild oxidation, plums and soft viniousness. Medium carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is fruity, berries, blackcurrants, chocolate, sharpish dryness with some metallic notes. Light nutty as well.

25cl bottle @ Delhaize next to the brewery, 0€67 a bottle.

Bottle. Sweet banana and peach malt aroma. Medium amber color with small head. Very sweet (but not cloying) peach, apple malt flavor with a lightly bitter finish. Nice body. Excellent fruit and malt mixture.

Pours a hazy medium orangish amber color. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty, with a touch of fruit. Flavor is a nice mixture of malts and fruits.
