Traditional Gaulish beer, on yeast, unfiltered an unpasteurized, at 6% alc. Produced on malted barley, it is aromatized with seven different plants an a touch of honey, which give this beer an exceptional aroma. Serve this luminous amber beer at between 8 and 12 deg. C, in a wide glass (or a drinking horn) and remember to let yeast fall to the bottom of the bottle. Do not drink more than two or three glasses of Cervoise at a time, and the sky won't fall on your head, in the name of Toutatis!

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a collapsing off-white head. Aroma is fruity and with a yeasty note and with a distinct metallic note aswell. Flavour is sweet malty and with a mild fruity note. Mild caramel sweetness into the finish. Slight metallic (less than in the aroma) and with a soft bitterness breaking the dense caramel malty flavour.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark amber, hazy with lots of impurities. Has honey and seven different spices added - which is quite evident in the exotic flavours. Quite hard to pinpoint any specific spices though. Sweetish, slightly bitter with a good body. 120302

Cloudy light amber color. Very nice malty and fruity aroma, almost surprising. Good taste, some caramel and liquorice, malt, light roasted malt note, just a bit too dry, introducing to a more watery and short finish.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2012 A colleague at work brought this back from Normandy for me. Hazy orange russet colour with thin beige head. Lots of petrol on this. Citrusy petorl on aroma. Warms up to lemon, ok in mouth some malt and lemon. Not a huge hop presence. Even a bit of ginger. Not great. re-rate, still a spicy gingery beer. Still not great but its ok
