Sledge Jr (2693), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 24, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. This is a beautiful pour: butterscotch amber with a creamy off-white head. This has the look of a cream soda. There’s no visible carbonation to this beer. Served at the correct temperature. Has a strong orange flavor to the finish. MrManning (1415), London, Ontario, Canada May 22, 2008 Tapped a deep golden/cloudy yellow with a foamy froth of head. Nose is of fresh apples and white grapes with a malty essence that reminds me of toffee. Pretty weak as far as the nose goes. Taste is fruity malts with a nice dose of bittering hops and a splash of caramel. Yeasty, fruity finish, a bit watery, with a bubble gum aftertaste. Half pint at the brew pub. Bobsy (196), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 20, 2007 I’ve got to disagree with the recent reviewers. Maybe its the Englishman in me, but I really appreciated this drink. Deep golden pour with a creamy white head. Fruity nose with a bit of yeast thrown in. Crisp bitter taste, with a big dose of grapefruit. Clean on the palate. A good choice for a session beer. frankenkitty (1789), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jul 12, 2007 Golden/amber under a thick film of white. Diacetyl-tainted nose with a goodly deal of alcohol wafting off the top. Creamy mouth. Butterscotch & bittered flavor. Lightly dried finish. Not too good.
