Light golden colour with a slight haziness and a moderate head that leaves a lot of lace. Nice aroma, very fresh and floral. The body is very light, especially for a 6% beer. Flavour holds notes of grapefruit, oranges and apricots, with a pleasing bitterness in the finish.

I liked this beer. I see that it is categorized as a Bitter. I also like bitters, but that style implies the use of english hops. This beer is ALL cascade and is much closer to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale than any bitter I’ve ever sampled. That being said, off the beer engine, Al’s Cask Ale was a pleasure. As previously stated, the beer has a citrusy, floral nose which is achieved by dry hopping with cascade hops. This is the same cause and effect as found in SNPA. Light, hoppy, full resounding bitterness beautifully balances this medium bodied beer. Again, citrus flavours from cascade hops are present. In my opinion this beer finds bitterness much higher than oake’s estimates - likely in 35-45 range. This is an american microbrew style pale ale rather than a Bitter.

Pale amber coloured. Medium bodied, bitter.
If you’re not giving it too much thought this is a really good bitter, but as a beer geek I find something is missing.
