Light amber, medium carbonation, pour small but thick head. Aroma of honey, sweet malt and touch of ginger. Ginger is more pronounced in flavour . This is medium bodied beer . Light bitter finish . Worked nice . Glad to see decent ginger beer.

Spicey, light aroma Woody, light brown. Lots of zip that I wouldn’t have identified as ginger if I hadn’t known it. Fairly bittered, crisp, a bit malty. Medium light body on a bitter finish.

Pours a clear copper red with a frothed up thick creamy head that lasts for quite a long time.
Smells of ginger (what a shock) and hops. At first, the ginger is most prominent, but after a while, the hops really seem to come out in the aroma.
Has a creamy and slick mouthfeel with very low carbonation.
Tastes of mild ginger (not enough as far as I’m concerned, I was disapointed) which tickles the tongue. Has a touch of honey and a light malted tone. The finish is bitter and over the course of the drink it collects into something more than you’d expect. The aftertaste grows and the ginger warms it.
Okay, but, just an interesting beer.

Quaffed this interesting new beer at C’est What to the sonic stylings of Mr. Something Something, an awesome band playing some funky tunes. Decent white head on an amber body. Aroma is malty ginger and mellow enough to be largely drowned out by the background odour of the pub. Starts out with a startlingly strong sweet gingerbread flavour and gives way to a slight bitterness that is not quite up to supporting the ginger, even though the ginger has mellowed from first sup. The initial shock of the ginger fades quickly. Bartender advised that they are contemplating ramping up the ginger content. A unique new product from Robinsons, and while I am pleased to see them experimenting, this one is not my cup of tea.

Copper colour with a thin white head. The ginger aroma is fairly pronounced at a distance, but not so much up close - more earthy hops and Sprite. The flavour starts out malty, slightly cake-like. Towards the finish is turns slightly bitter with a hint of ginger late. Not bad actually - it has a refreshing crispness.

This is ginger ale, without too much carbonation. Somewhat ginger aroma and taste, was hoping for some sort of bite I get from Jamaican style ginger beer. Clean your palate but if I must have soda, let it be soda. Thin mouthfeel.

Brewed for C’est What by Robinson’s, who are considered by many to be the weaker of the two breweries that C’est What has contracts with. It’s a very nice looking beer, with an amber-brown colour and a small tan head. Aroma has a rather non-descript mixture of sweet maltiness and a whiff of ginger. The flavour is pretty unexciting, just a decent mild brown ale with some vague ginger notes if you know to look for them. It’s not until the finish that the ginger finally comes through, with a not completely pleasant burning in the back of the throat. I was hoping for more, as I really like ginger and ginger-flavoured drinks, but this is a generally unsuccessful attempt at the style.

Tasted in Toronto at C’est What. Tasted in english pint glass. Appearance is copper / orange, relatively clear with thin white head. Aroma has a slightly floral scent with a minor spice background. Flavour is fairly watered down, nothing big and upfront. Has a slight grassy/grainy taste.

Draught. Orange pour. Subtle spicy aroma - there’s ginger in there for sure. Kudos on getting the ginger to show its face in the taste as well - pity it is in a bit of a watery bland body, although there is a good crispness to the whole package. Ok.
