Bobsy (196), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 20, 2007 Pint at C’est What? Pours a very dark brown with a creamy mocha head. The aroma is of nutella, but could do with being more prominent. The flavour...my god, this is delicious. I honestly thought that this would taste artificial, but its pulled off magnificently. The initial hit is all chocolate, and hazlenut at the back of the mouth. As the drink progresses, roasted malts come more to the fore. Wonderful creaminess on the palate. An excellent surprise, and I’ll be having some more in the future! mabel (1673), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 8, 2007 [626-20070917] Nitro-Tap @ C’est What (Toronto, ON). Hazelnutty roasted chocolate malt aroma. Black body with a long-lasting creamy tan head. Sweet chocolate flavour has a rich malt base with a dark nutty aftertaste and hints of irish cream. Creamy full body. Very rich and delicious. tomthompson89 (1148), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 27, 2008 on tap at C’est what, kind of a dark brown ruby color, with decent head nose is hazelnut, and chocolate as others have said like nutella. I can honestly say that this was the best hazelnut beer i have ever had!! Choc, hazelnut and to me at least a touch of coffee. Creamy mouthfeel Very Well done JoeMcPhee (3815), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Apr 8, 2008 Tap at C’est What. Pitch black with a creamy brown nitro head. Aroma is loaded with rich chocolatey notes. Very cocoaish and lightly milky as well. Very creamy texture... hazelnut only shows up on the end and it definitely plays second fiddle to the chocolate. Flavours are loaded with sweet milk chocolate, a kiss of roastiness on the back as well. Sweet and lightly caramelly in the middle. As it begins to warm, the nuttiness picks up and comes into balance with the chocolate. Nice brew. GregClow (2350), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 14, 2007 Draught sample at C’est What’s 2007 Fall Festival of Craft Breweries. Deep, dark ruby-brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate malted milk with a shot of amaretto - nice! Soft mouthfeel. Flavour has a great balance of roasted malt, chocolate and hazelnut, with a slight tartness in the finish. Very nice!
