Amber brown in colour, thin off-white coloured head, very light lacing. The aroma is very lightly sweet, not getting very much rye but some sourdough, some stale bread. The flavour has some rye coming through, a light caramel sweetness, lightl roast. Medium sweetness in the mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes long with some rye and a mild bitterness. Not bad but not the amount of rye that I was hoping for.

Draught at <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Places/ShowPlace.asp? target=blank>C’est What? in Toronto, Ontario on October 20, 2007.

Served a whisky/amber under an off-white, creamy and sheet-lacing head. I didn’t find rye in the aroma but berry notes along with some grapes and cheap red wine. Thick & fluffy with the consistency of thinned honey. Flavor finds mild earthiness, berry notes and (I suppose) some light rye bitterness in the finish. Very low citrics. O.K.

draft at c’est what in toronto. clear golden with quickly dissipating head, the aroma is a bit of rye, but not too much. feels like just another lager.

NOthing special, good beer and nice malty taste, but just another beer with not much after taste. Good foam too.

Again, very IPAish, like the al’s cask, and hemp ales. its got the IPA aroma, very nice. flavour is very hoppy, but i can detect a bit of rye in there. overall nice stuff.

Nice and easy to drink, although I didn’t really notice the rye. Still, a nice mild hoppiness with a bit of spice. Different and easy to drink.

(draught at the brewpub) dark amber. Rapidly fading head with nice lace. Faint malt aroma. Flavor is sweetish malt, some rye, and black pepper. Interesting.
