Commercial Description:
Since October 2007, join-stock Company „Cēsu alus” offers the top product of the autumn-winter season - “Cēsu Balsam Porter”! This year we would like to amaze our beer admirers with a unique flavour and method of serving. “Cēsu Balsam Porter” is our winter beer. But, did you know that hot beer tastes excellent? Porter beer combined with a special balsam from the Peruvian virgin forests makes the traditional beer softer and adds an amazing flavour of balsam and vanilla. The Idea behind this campaign is to introduce a little exotic character to brighten up the grey Latvian winter!

Medium yellowish beige head. Deep ambery red body. Roasty malty raisin aroma with spicy licorice and papery fruit notes. Dry-sweet light roasty licorice taste with papery raisin notes. Mid-bodied, clean palate. Quite light in taste. Dry spicy peppery papery aftertaste. Earthy notes linger. Can tell that it’s been stored a while. Very nice, mild and drinkable. (0.5l bottle from KnutAlbert.)

500 ml bottle@KnutAlbert’s. A minimal greyish head upon a crystal clear, deep reddish amber body. Rasins, plum-jam and caramel to the nose. Notes of candysugar. Taste is medium sweet with toasted malts and a fine earthy bitterness. Notes of refined brown sugar. Light to medium body. Earthy bitterness in the ending. Well rounded, high drinkability.
