wunderbier (1261), Finland Sep 14, 2007 Clear, medium gold hue with no real head, but champagne like carbonation. The apples in the aroma are not particularly bright, and the cidre takes on something of a rustic feel with hay and light barnyard elements. There’s a strange and powerful presence of salt and smoke in the aroma, giving the impression of smoked ham. The flavour is fairly sugary-sweet throughout with only moderate balancing acidity. There’s slightly less pork in the taste as compared to the aroma, but it’s still not brilliant. A mushroom like element comes about with some warmth. Medium bodied with a silky texture and lively carbonation. 75cl bottle, Duvel tulip, bbe not listed.
