3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Ölen intogs vid en fantastiskt bra indisk restaurang i Göteborg och det är möjligt att den goda maten gjorde så att ölen upplevdes som bättre än vad den faktiskt var.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Hm, seems like everybody’s talking about different versions of this, so just to be clear, mine is: 0.5L bottle. apparently brewed in the czech republic according to an ’indian recipe’. dark yellow, golden, coppery in colour, basic malts on the nose, with a slight touch of greenish hops. A bit of honey, cornish malt flavour with some metallic notes. Could see me having one of these with some tandori just because of the indian-like label on the bottle (although I’d wish the bottle was filled with something else..).

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
50 cl bottle.
Pale golden colour. Aroma is grass, some mild hops, citrus and malts. Flavour is citrus, some dry hay, malts and distant notes of caramel. Light-bodied and very watery mouthfeel with a dry finish. This should go well with spicy food, otherwise, don’t bother.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
[Bottle] Pours a clear yellow color with a fizzy head from a brown bottle. No expiration date on the bottle. Sweet aroma of grain and apple cider vinegar. The initial taste is dominated by a sickly green apple flavor which completely masks anything else this beer had going for it. Bubbly soda-like carbonation. A bit sweet in the finish. Nearly a drainpour, which I very rarely would do.

1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Pale Lager month installment number 17: At the end of a long day, I like to reach for a Chakra. It’s made in Belgium, so I can be sure of it’s quality. But it’s brewed for to appeal to the sensibilities of the Indian palate so I know it’s won’t disappoint.
Chakra pours a fairly pale yellow color with a medium sized fluffy white head that disappears. The aroma is quite reminiscent of sweet apple cider with maybe just a little bit of toasty malt. The flavor is like apple cider and malt liquor!
YUM! Seriously though, this stuff tastes like grocery store apple cider with a good deal of corniness and alcohol. As it warms some yeasty bread dough appears along with some mildly harsh bitterness, all the while the alcohol grows ever more annoying.
