Ethereal (724), London, Greater London, England Dec 27, 2007 Cask at the Coach & Horses, Norwich, 27th Dec 2007. Chestnut with a small foamy head. Aroma is earth and tree bark. Flavour of sweet malts and a bit of honey. Clings to the mouth and lacks bitterness. Bit thin too. Chalk Hill’s worst beer in my opinion. harrisoni (4915), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 3, 2007 Cask handpull at Coach & Horses, Norwich. Chestnut with lasting beige head. Again slightly buttery, toffee. More malty fruit, rich fruits of the forest. Bit sickly. Tastes like the malts haven’t been brewed out. Some minimal hop presence on end. Really sickly raspberry ripple flavour hangs on. Floral and slightly fruity aroma. Mid brown amber coloured strong and a little rich on the palate. Fruity with a crisp and slightly bitter malt finish.
