tap at brewpub feb 2012-pours deep brown with a small weak tan head with lite lacing. nose is very roasty with dark chocolate/baking chocolate and char. flavors exhibit huge char and baking chocolate-very little sweetness here, which doesnt come across to me as a foreign stout. very bitter char finish leaves the palete with little left/dry. i can tell alot of effort went into this brew however, it comes up a little short-more sweetness and it would be much better.
