COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For our fifth anniversary, we put it all on the table and made the biggest beer we could. With an enormous amount of premium British Malts and more than enough American hops to balance, this barleywine-style ale is both incredibly rich and pleasantly bitter. Enjoy it now, or cellar to enjoy on our tenth anniversary. Cheers!

Hazy red-orange, off white cover. Aroma is toast, caramel, toffee, very hoppy grassy despite the age. Taste is nice, sweet, still nicely earthy, grassy hops, caramel, toffee.

Ths poured a cloudy darker amber to brown with a minimal beige head. Aroma was lots of caramel, toffee, fruit, pineapplely and marshmellow oak character too, Flaovr was silky smooth for the alcohol content.lots of sweetness, but not cloying, caramel, dark fruits, and some brown sugar. Some nice stuff.

Fall 2011 Ratebeer gathering. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark red-brown color with a small tan head that left great lacing. The aroma was sweet pine, pineapple and toasted caramel. The flavor was tangy and sweet orange, pineapple, grapefruit, toasted caramel and lemon. The finish was long and tangy with lingering caramel, pine and pineapple. Thick and syrupy body. Nice.

A: The beer pours a reddish amber color with a finger of khaki colored head. S: A little bit of a stale hop nose to this. Big citrus and more mild floral notes with a touch of pine. Plenty of sweet bread and toffee with caramel to go with it. T: The flavor is quite sweet up front with the caramel and toffee notes coming through. A surprising hop flavor, considering the aroma. Lots of intense grapefruit and citrus with a bit of pine and bitterness. M: Medium bodied with a medium carbonation. O: A pleasant surprise. I thought this was a pretty decent barleywine that I wasn’t really expecting anything from.

Barleywine par excellence!! Bomber from the brewery consumed in the hotel room. Fresh, this has a lot of the big hop flavor that I got so much of in their other beers, but with a big caramel malt backbone that tell me that as good as this is, it will be great in a few years. If only I had a way to get this on the plane I’d go buy another one.
