Like a jackrabbit on the run, hops are literally leaping out of this deep golden brew. The aroma of Columbus, Horizon, Crystal, and Centennial hop varieties strikes you first with notes of evergreen and grapefruit before evolving into a snappy and sharp hop flavor. The finish is very dry and calls you back for more. Yes, there is some malt here too, but mainly in a supportive role. This is one for the hopheads. Cheers!

One of my top 3 IPA’s in town. Big fruit nose with grapefruit aroma and white lasting head. Pours bright light copper and is quite appealing. Big flavor that balances well with not too complex malty body.

Draught. Pours copper-amber with a rocky tan head and lined lacing. Fruity pine resin hop aroma with caramel malt notes. Lightly bitter acidic rind hop flavor with a malt body. Medium bodied and dry palate.

Growler from brewpub. Pours a golden orange color, thick white head, transparent, some lacing on my glass. Aroma is all hops, kind of citrusy with some grapefruit and floral notes. Lots of bitter hops with each sip. I can certainly detect some cascades, though there’s certainly some other varieties in there. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky, goes down fairly easy, medium carbonation. Not a bad IPA, I’ve had both better and worse.

Light, slightly hazy copper color with a loose lacey head. Really nice fresh vegetal hops aroma with lots of resin. Great crisp bitterness with citrus notes--grapefruit--very light malt characteristics which compliments the powerful hops profile nicely. Very fresh mouth-coating hops oils in the body with light alcohol and a pleasant finish.

Draught at the Charma River (formerly Blue Corn) Micro Bar, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Hazy orange with nice white head. Very hoppy flavour, nicely dry finish. Very drinkable and refreshing.

Draught at Blue Corn Brewery Micro Bar, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Foamy off-white head, hazy deep orange beer. Mild aroma, tones of hops and oranges. Lots of hops in the flavor but also a nice fruity base. Very fresh with a nice dry end. A really flavorfull and delicious IPA with an almost perfect balanced bitterness.

tap at brewpub-pours a nice orange hue with white head. some lacing around pint glass. Nice hops but very little malt to detect in this one. Finish was not as robust as some of their other ipa’s. Good, but not a dangerous intensions or M2.

Pours mostly yellow with a touch of orange. Has a medium white head. Piney and mild citrus aroma. Big piney taste with some grapefruit. Light sweetness. This is hop juice and a little one dimensional but I still like it.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2005 Metallic orange body and ripply white head. Grapefruit nose. Lots of pine in the flavor and a very dry, tannic quality. Medium-full body, stylewise. Not my favorite, but a solid IPA.
