On tap at brewery. Pours golden orange with white head. Aroma is citrus, pine and hops. Flavor is crystal malt, hops, citrus, some pine and caramel. Could use some more hops but is very well balanced. Solid house IPA.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of sweaty, bitter hops. Flavor of sharp spices up front, apples, onions, bitter hops and caramel malt in the finish. Great IPA, I really enjoyed it.

Reviewed from notes. On tap at the brewpub in August 2009.
Pours a copper golden color with a nice white head and a pretty good amount of lacing. the nose is some light pine and grassy hops. A bit of floral character. The taste is mildly malty with a bit of caramel and then some good hopping in the background. Pretty good bitterness and some nice drinkability.

Real nice IPA. It turned out good. Lots of hops, no real funky taste. Good stuff. The taste was a few hop varieties, a little lightly sweet malt and a handful of yeast. Overall a great homebrew

Draft at the brewpub, except it was called "Jackelope". Nice grapefruit, resin, and caramel aroma. Flavor is the same great mix. Light-medium body is very sessionable, lightly astringent and smoothly carbonated. Great session IPA.

This is a great IPA. You get hit from both sides of the hops. First its fruity and pine..then its straight bitter, It goes great with their burger (green chilies and apple wood bacon)

Draught @ Chama River. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium white head. The aroma had a mild malt presence, but was more about the hops. Grapefruit, citrus, and a touch of pine abound. The flavor was a balanced version of the nose. Moderately sweet caramel/crystal malt mixes nicely with the citrus, grapefruit, and grassy hops. Finish is nicely bitter. One of the many solid offerings we enjoyed here at Chama River.

Pours a transparent bright golden bronze with a clingy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet crystal malts and some grapefruity hoppy character. Body starts lightly sweet with a decent crisp bittering hoppy balance and some citrusy notes before a crisp drier bittersweet finish. An ok IPA, but could use more of a fresher assertive hop presence.
