On draught at the brewpub. Pours an opaque black color with a lasting fine-bubble head. Coarse hoppy aroma with slight coffee notes. Medium body and soft mouthfeel. Early, rich dark malt dryness with a late caramel note and sharp finish. A lot going on, some of it complementary.

One of the best Black IPA’s I’ve had. It’s easy to drink, hoppy, and delicious. Looks to be a heavy stout but is actually very mild on the burnt, nutty taste, actually no nutty taste whatsoever.
