Its taste derives from dried malts and selected hops.
Possibly the same beer as Sologne Ambrée by the same brewer.

Amber colored unfiltered beer with a pearly small head. Aroma is very sweet and flowery. Flavor and palate are typically beery, with a afterwash of bitterness. Overall a fine beer, but nothing refined.

Thanks to my neighbor for bringing this back from France. Dark Amber color with a white head around the edge. Cookie dough aroma with a sweetish doughy taste.

Dried fruit, sherry and cardboard in the rough, herbal aroma. Muddy yellow-brown body topped by a partial cover and ring of white head. Lemon and ginger and overripe melons along with some cardboard and herbal, leafy notes. Low carbonation. Slick texture. Medium body. Bottle sampled at the post-mondial 2006 tasting.

Pours a cloudy light orange color with a thin white head. Aroma and flavor of fruits and yeast but they feel kind of old or stale. The mouthfeel is powdery and dusty. There is something wrong with this beer.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2009 Golden body without much head. Thin watery body with alcohol more present than it should be. Boring mouthfeel,. Weird fruitiness character. I wish this new French small brewery the best of luck, and luck is what they’ll need to survive if they keep putting out beer like this.

Post-Mondial tasting at Goldorak’s pad, from 330 ml bottle I believe. Dirty brown in color with just a bit of head....odd staleness in the nose and a surprising amount of alcohol....lemony, gainy body, old and oxidized and papery, little carbonation, sticky and grainy with spoiled/overripe fruits adding little to the equation, the end result of which must be: bad.

MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 9, 2006
Barely a ring to decorate the clean light golden/amber...Tea-like hop bitterness relinquishes dryness, and reveals alcohol, which is disappointing for a 6% brew...Peachy sweetness attempts to create balance, but the mouthfeel is flaccid, and the flavor spectrum is severely restrained...
