This beer is a clear pale golden-orange color with a medium fluffy white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of grainy malt and mild hops. Light body with flavors of sweet malt and grain as well as lightly bitter grassy hops. The finish is short and malty. Slightly below average overall.

Were they trying to poison me? This is a lager if I am not mistaken. Sprecher has tried hard to make a craft light beer, they need to keep trying.

Bottled. Poured clear straw golden with a sticky cap of white head. The aroma picked up honey and vegetal sweetness with husky accents.. not much going on. The flavor found pale and honey malts at the core, with prickly carbonation and very little grassy bitterness around.. super fast finish with a touch of lemon zest over honey. Light-bodied.. higher carbonation kept it from being watery on most parts of the palate.. drinkable, but not something I want any more of.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle from Sprecher’s brewery gift shop in Glendale, WI. Pours a very slightly hazy light gold with a thin white head. Aroma is toasted malt and grain, slightly sweet. Somewhat fizzy palate. Taste is watery grain, and a bit sweet. Nothing really offensive here, but nothing to hold my interest either.

6/13/11. 12oz bottle. Very slightly hazy golden pour with a small off-white head. Herbal, vegetal aroma with ketchup and green pepper... oh my. Sweet, disgusting vegetal flavor with sweet tomatoes, green peppers, and more horrible stuff. Wow, this is awful.

12 oz bottle from Sprecher Brewery (Glendale, WI). The final of the 4 "Modern" beers from the secondary brewery Sprecher is doing. Pours a darker fuller golden hue, good glow and firm haze. A big cakey whitish head atop dies to a firm layer, laces well. Aromas are crisp cereal grains, bready malts, and a gentle kiss of spicy bread yeast. Some faint floral and earthy hops. Initial is fairly clean and simple, gentle kiss of dryness up front, a faint waft of lemon, moving quickly into bready and cereal malts. Bread, grains, and gentle sweetness kiss, making this light bodied beer offer a fairly clean experience. A gentle spice, some earthy grassy hops into the backend offer some mellow bitterness. A bit bland overall, light and easily drinkable, with some mellow balance. Not as bad as anticipated. Much better than the Onion Bomb they make.

Bottle - gift from my friend Vince. It was from his beer of the month club. Golden with a medium, pillowy white head. Aroma is grainy and grassy with soft fruit notes. Taste is grains, cut grass, light citrus, peach and light tea notes. Body is light-medium with a soft, creamy carbonation. Finishes with more grains, sweet malt, grassy notes, soft citrus and peach iced tea.

Sampled via 12-oz bottle at the Great Northern Beer Festival in Eagle River, WI. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with an average sized white head that quickly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma is very faint with some golden grain malt, floral hops and a touch of corn. Taste is light bodied, with a hint of fruit, golden grain malt with corn and just barely any trace of grassy hops. Finish is light, crisp and a faint mild bitterness than disappears too quickly. Overall, an average light beer.

Medium gold body with a thin white head. The nose is sweet and grainy with some hints of grape jelly. The mouth feel is very fizzy. The taste is old bologna and cheap blackberry wine. There is also some cooked sweet potato. Overly sweet and a little harsh to drink.

Bottle thanks to BeerFMAndy. Served in a Cantillon tulip. Pours a clear golden color without too many visible carbonation bubbles. Initial pour brings a single-finger white head that fades fairly quickly into a bubbly cap and a thin collar without too much lacing. The nose is a bit grainy and metallic without all that much more. Some mild bread crust as it warms. The flavor is quite a bit better than the nose with a mild bread character that is slightly pleasing. Something in the finish is a bit off with some mild creamed corn character. DMS never made anyone happy; thankfully it’s at a fairly-low level here. Drinkability is decent enough. Not bad.
