Draft @ Sprecher. Not a bad beer overall, but nothing that special here. Sweet wheat, cereal grains and a little coriander and cinnamon. Try it on tap or buy a single, but I would say donít buy a whole 6-pack.

Pours a fizzy, clean golden color with a quick fading white head that leave no lacing. Aroma has a strong grains of paradise nose, modest amount of coriander and some light orange and wheat creep in at the very end. Flavor is reminiscent of the old Sam Adams spring ale but with a huge punch of spice. Grains of paradise really hit first with the coriander quickly picking up the slack as it fades. A very smooth orange sweetness kicks in late and really rounds out the overall early spiciness of the brew. Wheat malt is present but isnít the dominant flavor by any means. Body is light/modest with a fizzy feel to it. Overall the strong spiciness was really balanced out by the orange flavors at the end. Good brew.

Hazy gold pour. Very spicy sweet nose. Flavor is honey, some citrus, grains. Medium body. Nice finish with spice and orange. I enjoyed this beer.

Bottle says 5.4% ABV. Cloudy straw color. More wheat flavor, and less spice flavor, than typical Whits. No reason to buy this over the many summer wheat beers.

Originally reviewed: 2/11/11. 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy dark orange with absolutely no head. Not even a ring of lace to speak of. The nose is really sharp with big spicy yeast, bubblegum, lemon, and lots of coriander. The mouth is fair. Carbonation level is moderately high, but drinks smooth enough. The spices come out in full force flavor-wise. Coriander, lemongrass, white pepper. Mild fruity finish. This isnít the best representation of the style. Refreshing at times, but almost too much zing in it to have many more. Iíd pass for some better Wits in the future.

12 oz bottle from Sprecher Brewery (Glendale, WI). Pours a well hazed golden orange hue, deeper hued wihth some mellow carbonation. Frothy whitish head sits atop, dies to a mellow loose film, light lacing. Aromas are a good deep orange peel, fruit, and coriander spice. Flaked wheat, fruity esters offer some sweetness, mellow dryness, cereal grains. More impressive nose than the previous rating. Initial is lighter bodied, getting towards medium though. A firm orange peel front offers inviting citrus, oranges, and touches of mellow spicy coriander. Flaked wheat, dry bread, and touches of citrusy orange, fruity esters. A firm cereal and bready body hits, with some lively oranges that grow, touches of spice. Backend and finish offer dryness, citrus rind, and some mellow sweetness. A pretty good example. Solid offering.

Meh, this wasnít terrible, but there was something that is a bit odd. It tastes a lot like odd skittles with a bit of candy. Itís light and a bit fizzy. It could use a bit more spice, actually.

Bottle from the brewery (Sprecher). Pours hazy and golden. Pleasant wheat aromas,. Medium mouthfeel, tingling carbonation. some cloves, perhaps some cinammon though the wheat base is so-so. Not super drinkable

Pours a golden color, very clear, with a large white head.

The aroma is very faint but has some nice qualities, particularly a distinct fruity orange character and some mild spiciness. The beer is slightly floral but not overly sweet smelling. Itís a real pity this isnít more pungent than it is.

The flavor is nicely fruity, but again not particularly sweet. The beer is spicy and the orange peel character is sharp and bitter. The beer is slightly astringent in the finish & fairly "light" all around.

Amazingly good in comparison to some of the other business Iíve had from these folk
