Many thanks to Werckmeister for this bottle! Batch 8. Smooth malty-sweetish beginning. Intense but not too deep. Fresh with malt and caramel on a very sweetish-grainy basis. Moderate bitter aftertaste wth lots of sweetish grain on the tongue. Even a bit rough. Unround.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 20, 2015 bottle at home from trade with Sebilinz, thanks :) dark yellow color, looks filtered, by very lightly hazy. medium big off-white head. smells yeasty, fruity, grassy, light grainy, some herbs, mint, light ash. nice smell. medium to full body, slick mouthfeel, medium carbonation, tastes of grass, grains, herbal, peppermint, thyme, light fruity, some very light sweetness. overall the finish is more bitter / light herbal though. the herbs work very well in this brew, sweet and bitterness is quite well-balanced. quite good. good taste and quite easy to drink.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle, batch 8 (hops: Mühlviertler Tettnanger, Saphir, Galaxy, Topaz), from Bottle Shop, Salzburg.
Deep golden, clear body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of grass, hay, fresh herbs, citrus, tangerine, some sweet malts.
Taste follows this pretty much.
Medium, quite oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, quite dry, with grass, herbs, lemon zest.
Enjoyable, fresh Imperial Pils. Nice combination of grass and herb notes, with fruity hops. Not the best beer of this style I’ve had, but definitely the best Imperial Pils from Austria in my opinion.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Small head leaving good lacing.
Biscuity smell with a touch of caramel. Some faint earthy hops.
Some malt up front in the taste but it is quickly overwhelmed by the hops. Bitter from start to finish.
Maybe a bit too carbonated for the style but it’s still OK.
Overall this was a decent bitter but nothing really special.
