COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rare German style, the gose is a slightly tart wheat ale made with salt during the brewing process. Our version has flavors of melon with yeast esters and a firm finish provided by Himalayan pink sea salt.

Keg @ Champion. The pour’s gold with a small head. The nose is mashed apple. Some earthy saltiness. The taste is lightly tart. More apple, fruit sweetness. Strong mineral quality. Wheaty, pissy tang on the finish. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid gose. Refreshing stuff.

Growler from Whole Foods. Hazy gold. Aroma is primarily wheat, with a bit of yeast character. Flavor matches. Faintest hint of lemon tartness, quite dry. Refreshing. I haven’t had very many of these beers, but this was probably one of my favorites.

Hard to pinpoint any aromas whatsoever. Appearance is gold, with almost no head. Salty, lightly tart, and savory. Light bodied, with low carbonation, and a short, dry finish. Not bad, but not much going on aside from the salty and umami taste characteristics. I feel I need to revisit this beer in a traditional glass, rather than the cylindrical 4 oz as part of the flight.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a clear amber color with a thin creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of wheat and brine. The taste is wheat, caramel, salt and a nutty note. Very dry. Medium bodied.
