Aromas of coffee, chocolate, and subtle hops. Black with ruby highlights, khaki head with medium retention. Bitter, lightly sweet, roasted coffee and chocolate flavors. Medium-full bodied, lively carbonation, roasty, chocolatey finish with lasting bitterness and roast. Itís nice to have a good, homemade porter minutes from my home.

On tap at the brewery. Pours as black as coal, topped with a light tan head. The nose is a touch of coffee, some graininess and a bit of general spiciness. Taste wise, chocolate, nutty, a slightly roasty edge. Medium bodied and quite moreish. Good stuff!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a large dark brown head. Good head retention and nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and peppery hops. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied, well balanced and chewy. Very nice porter. I liked this one a lot.
