A traditional sour wheat ale inspired by the German original. Made with wheat and pale malt, this beer is refreshing and quaffable with flavors of sourdough and citrus fruit.

Total Wine, Fairfax can: pours hazy light orange yellow. Aroma is sour mash and wheat. Taste is lightly sour with a sort of bready feel. Not a great berliner weisse.

Decent enough sour but somewhat entry level. Great little afternoon sipper at 3%. Tart- just like the name implies. Nice citrus notes and wheat base keeps it good and light. Reminiscent of sourdough. Or a decent Marlborough. Bit of an odd finish but pretty drinkable. Better than score indicates- imho.

Tepid transparent straw, lightly effervescent. Heavy pedio nose, light entero and dusty. Softer lacto flavor, some rice and lime juice, aggressively sour for a Berliner but low acid allows grain to continue. Thin and frothy.

Appearance is watery yellow...aroma is sour hay with corn...taste faintly sour with notes of wheat..finish is crisp enough but you just want more bite...overall its a little below average as the style goes...i wouldn’t go out of my way for this one...

Can, for the backyard campout. Poured a light yellow, decent head. Aroma is sort of raw wheat and a touch of lemon zest tartness. Flavor is a match. Very drinkable (duh, 3%, what would you expect?). This is a fantastically well executed beer, and should get way more love here.

Pale clear golden pour. Terrible head characteristics - decent initial volume, but very poor retention and zero lacing. Extremely weak nose. Light notes of lemon and a very subtle sourness (with a touch of funk). Very light body, almost water like with a corresponding texture. Below normal carbonation level with a tease of effervescence in the middle and a fairly solid finish. The flavor profile is that of a sour light, which is what this beer is. Light lemon, even lighter sourness and nothing else. It does come across as tart and would serve as a weak version for style introduction.

Can. Pours nearly clear with a small spit head. Smells of grass and corn. Sour lemongrass flavor with some wheat and dirt in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from Julio’s. Very pale gold with head (for a change for a Berliner). Citrus sourdough peach white wine aroma. Very mild peachy citrus sweetness with lemony tart dry finish. Very light and fine carbo and in good shape. I guess I mostly like low-rated Berliners. Oh well. Very good.
